Sura light

Light Sura The Sura I have decided to break down for my task is the ‘Light Sura'. The explanation I picked this Sura is that it manages numerous social issues that are still apparent in Islamic life today. It gives an itemized perspective on what God expected of its supporters all through the Sura and what discipline would be given to them in the event that they planned something reluctant for Gods orders. All through the Sura a solid message is sent to the devotees of Islam. A lady is utilized for instance of somebody who has trespassed n a horrible and unlawful way and this is portrayed all through the text.In my examination of the Sura I am going to utilize key sections that give an away from of what the entry is about and what clear messages is sent down from god. This is a medinan Sura that identifies with the social qualities in the Islamic world. One of the primary subjects of this Sura is advanced around numerous guidelines and laws of the Muslim people group, for examp le, marriage, acquiescence, unobtrusiveness and the principle on which is featured all through this entry infidelity. Muhammad's significant other Aisha was dishonestly ccused of infidelity which was related as a tremendous wrongdoing in the Islamic world.Punishment was extremely cruel on anybody seen as blameworthy of these violations, anyway these exacting ways likewise made an impression on the Islamic people group that adherents ought to never misbehave. This is unmistakably featured in refrain 24:2, â€Å"The miscreant and the adulteress scourge ye every single one of them (with) a hundred stripes. What's more, let not feel sorry for the twain retain you from compliance to Allah, if ye put stock in Allah and the Last Day. Also, let a gathering of adherents witness their punishmentl†.I think this discipline uggests that everybody is equivalent according to Allah and in spite of the fact that Aisha is a good lady and Muhammad's better half, she is as yet rebuffed the equiv alent. It is significant according to Allah and the prophets that ladies are good and they are making a case of it in this Sura. It's extremely evident that this Sura centers around the social qualities in the network and another case of this is appeared in section 24:32, â€Å"Marry off the single among you and those of your male and female slaves who are (fit for marriage). On the off chance that they are helpless god, God will accommodate them from his bounty:Gods abundance is unending and he is all knowing2†³. Muhammad must lecture these messages to the Islamic people group with the expectation that supporters will tune in to Gods message. Through that refrain the message is certain that god needs men and lady to wed, yet through marriage comes strength and development. It is clear that he needs individuals to wed so they aren't inert constantly thus they won't cause inconvenience in the network. Simarily in section 24:33, â€Å"those who can't wed should keep pure until God gives them enough out of his bounty. If any of your slaves wish to pay for their opportunity, make an agreement with them, and give them a portion of the riches that God has given you. Try not to compel your slave young ladies into prostitution, when they themselves wish to stay respectable, as you continued looking for momentary increases of this world, despite the fact that, on the off chance that they are constrained, God will be pardoning and tolerant to them3†³. This refrain relates a ton to the profession of Muhammad from when he experienced childhood in Mecca. During this time, clans had a ton of slaves working for them and they were typically mistreated.Prostitution was a way tor young lady traversing light as they couldn't get hitched. Muhammad sends a solid message in this content as he attempts to lecture the proprietors of the slaves that it is against Gods lessons that such a conduct ought to occur in this religion. This is a savvy message from Allah as it urges individuals to wed and diminishes the odds of difficulty and savagery by the Islamic supporters. Muhammad is Allah's courier and it is appeared all through the entry that he needs to keep the network together by strengthening the qualities rom the spot (Mecca) they came from.Muhammad was brought up in Mecca yet moved to Medina. This sura relates a great deal to the profession of Muhammad as he carried supporters to Medina when he moved. These were the individuals who emigrated in God's manner. Around then there were a great deal of innate wars occurring because of divisions forced by pioneers. Muhammad was a piece of the Banu Hashim clan and as per (Cook, 2000) â€Å"the rival clan Banu Abd Shams forced a blacklist which the agnostics for somewhere in the range of a few years declined intermarriage or business dealings with the BanuHashim's until such opportunity as they woke up in the matter of Muhammad4†³. Anyway numerous individuals from these gatherings changed over to Mu hammad's religion. It is imperative to take note of that in this sura, the message is obvious to Muhammad's believers that there are laws to follow in the event that you need to be a piece of the religion. I think it shows that Muhammad's past is clear in this section by his educating. Another significant snippet of data featured all through the Sura is to do with the one God wonder. It is rehashed time and time all through the Sura that â€Å"God is of all nowing and doing†.This is imperative to the profession of Muhammad as he needed to lecture this to his adherents every day that there is one God and he is all knowing about your great and wrong doings. This little however shrewd bit of composing ensured that the message of this Sura was plainly appeared, as Muhammad's devotees would understand that God can see all your off-base doings which would allow them from considering submitting an off-base deed as composing toward the finish of the Sura, section 24: 64, â€Å"God h as full information on everything5†.It is obvious from over that the profession of Muhammad is apparent all through the Sura by the lessons relating back to the prophets past. In this Sura, Muhammad is lecturing about how to turn into a decent Islamic adherent and the disciplines that will occur if devotees lean away from the laws.

The Yellow Wallpaper -- Literary Analysis, Gilman

Inside the alarming novel, The Yellow Wallpaper, the subject where activity happens is huge. The lady, who apparently experienced post pregnancy anxiety, looks for a type of harmony in her male ruled world. The woman’s progressively extreme fixation on the backdrop leaves the peruser with numerous inquiries concerning male-female connections and maybe even madness. In this manner, the control of topic permits the creator to carefully present images in the content. The yellow backdrop itself is the most clear image that speaks to the protagonist’s outlook. It contains examples, points and bends that all negate each other, and it can mirror the wife’s feelings during that time. Likewise, the nursery emblematically shows the path ladies of that time were viewed as being on a similar level as youngsters, just as the banned windows of constrainment of ladies concerning the impression of what a woman’s job was. These images speak to Gilman’s see on the st atus of ladies in the male centric culture of the nineteenth-century. The story comes to fruition of a diary about the principle character. Subsequently, the reader’s see is restricted to the impressions of the single character, Jane. Considering the foundation data on Gilman, one can easily make the determination that the story is really a sign of an individual encounter. Gilman had endured a colossal mental sorrow as the consequence of mental medicines, preceding composing the story The Yellow Wallpaper. The creator distinguishes herself with the principle character. Because of her unexpected frailty, Jane tuned in to the doctor’s counsel and diverted the force she recently spent on questions to â€Å"air and work out, and journeys† (Gilman 1392)). She ... ...simpler about you† (Gilman 1398). What's more, different characters assume a slight job in the story and can be viewed as a component of the topic. For this situation, they speak to the association with the genuine, evident world. The recuperating procedure will in general be an appearance on the grounds that the body mends as the specialist anticipated at the same time, her brain was resounding with nature in an alternate manner, inciting changes in her recognition. Each strange occasion related with the secretive appearances of the lady from the backdrop appeared to have an association with the two-dimensional world she originated from. For example, the lady was â€Å"Creeping as quick as a cloud shadow in a high wind† (Gilman 1401). Components of two-dimensional universes are positively a particularly engaging impact. They represent the stressed faithful mentality of those characters, given that their developments were quickly quiet.

Care Of People With Learning Disabilities Notwithstanding the previously mentioned certainty, a vast lion's share of the populace, in the UK keeps on experiencing explicit disregard as far as accepting quality social insurance. Respect in care has become a significant arrangement pushed for the individuals with learning handicap and its a genuinely late pattern for governments to feel that it is their job to edify individuals how to carry out their responsibility as opposed to simply set wide rules/strategy parameters for the Health and social help (Wainwright. 2008) Which means and Definition of the terms and Concepts utilized: The terms and/or ideas which are as often as possible utilized all through this investigation, for example, Dignity, Learning Disability, and Disenfranchised Death, are clarified in the accompanying area: The term Dignity is characterized as: Poise is worried about how individuals feel, think and act comparable to the value or estimation of themselves as well as other people. Through this inquiry an endeavor is made to: Inspect the scope of administrations at present gave to individuals learning incapacities. Regardless of whether such administrations are in congruity with the general destinations set by the legislature. The responses to the above inquiries, as gave through the writing audit will help in deciding if respect in care for individuals with learning handicaps is a reality or a sham. Points and Objectives: The fundamental point of this examination is to investigate the issues identified with pride in accordance with social insurance of individuals experiencing learning handicaps. The targets include: To investigate the scope of difficulties confronted and issues experienced by individuals experiencing learning incapacities Evaluate the nature of social insurance administrations accessible to them Examine the requirement for a thorough and a widely inclusive social insurance strategy for such individuals To comprehend and think about the kind of administrations offered and accessible to them To investigate the job of carers, medicinal services organizations and other help benefits in upgrading their status and guaranteeing their prosperity. Morals: The idea of morals has developed as of late from the unobtrusive meaning of the term that of regular morals, to its slow change into different branches and sub-types, for example, bio morals, morals identified with human rights and to the later, wellbeing strategy morals. Morals as far as human services alludes to the impartial and reasonable conveyance of assets, advantages and administrations among the individuals, paying little mind to their age, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, financial foundation or the sort of sickness they are enduring with. Value in treatment of diseases, thus, is an unavoidable and indivisible piece of social insurance morals. Because of developing concerns in regards to the discriminatory treatment given to individuals with learning incapacities the activities identified with giving sufficient and great quality social insurance have picked up energy. Activists around the world, battling for the reason for arrangement of sufficient human services offices for individuals with different inabilities, have effectively pushed for nobility in social insurance, particularly towards individuals with learning incapacities. They have requested an intensive audit of arrangements and standards of human services to guarantee poise of such individuals. (Morrison, 2008). As the development unhesitatingly walks towards another thousand years, there is probably going to be an ascent in gathering of supporters battling for and pushing morals in social insurance with an exceptional weight on ensuring and protecting human nobility. Such a reason which is upheld by scholastic researchers, specialists, human right gatherings and activists the same, must, subsequently be paid attention to up and suitable approaches are created at the neighborhood, local just as national levels to guarantee consistence (Fulford et al, 2002). Morals when all is said in done and in medicinal services specifically, has experienced a significant change from an idea which was at first limited to ensuring the interests of a person to an undeniable social concern. Consequently it is unavoidable for the medicinal services foundations to mull over such an issue while creating systems and actualizing social insurance strategies, which includes individuals with learning and other formative handicaps. Undertaking Methods/Methodology: With the end goal of this examination, phenomenological inquire about system is picked, whereby perceptions are made based on information gathered from confided in government sites, for example, the NHS, distributed research reports, clinical diaries, books just as magazines and papers. So as to achieve the exploration destinations, an endeavor was made to investigate, break down and look for data identified with subjective examinations which focused on: Evaluating the situation of individuals experiencing learning incapacities. The view of such individuals towards the social insurance offices made accessible by the administration. The presence of different administrations and its viability and tending to the key issues and difficulties looked by such individuals. The requirement for prepared carers and the information which they should have so as to have the option to manage such individuals, in a superior and effective way. The different snags which might be experienced while managing patients experiencing gaining handicaps directly from recognition to end-of-life care, and so forth among others. This examination depends on the phenomenological look into procedure, which thinks about the points of view of different specialists, and research reports distributed by government offices involving direct data and records of individuals experiencing learning handicaps. As indicated by Dilthey, (in Rapport, 2004): The journey to see more and better is basically a subjective interest that requires an encounter close to language. It begins with encounters we as of now comprehend and extends and develops these understandings into more extensive and various settings thro

Omnibus Followup Women in Engineering

Omnibus Followup Women in Engineering Last entry, I covered most of the questions that had been asked, but held one question out for further inspection. Melissa had asked, Do you know what the gender ratio is at MIT in engineering (mechE/ECE/ChemE/BioE etc), AFTER four years? I really like that MIT has gotten the admissions up to near 50/50 like startup-school Olin College has, but Im afraid that all my future female companions will end up in all the different liberal arts-non engineering programs you talk about, abandoning engineering. Melissas concerns are reasonable. According to statistics from the Society of Women Engineers (SWE), only 19.7% of undergraduates in engineering in the United States are women, and that number drops to 17.9% by graduation. Luckily, the situation at MIT is much better I spent a few hours crunching the numbers myself to be sure. At MIT, 35% of engineering majors are women nearly twice the national average. And whats more, by senior year, 35% of engineers are still women. In total, more than 90% of the women who start in engineering finish in engineering (the same as the men). Lets take a closer look at a few departments. Nationally, women account for about 27% of undergraduate students in computer science; at MIT for Fall 2006, MITs Department of Electrical Engineering Computer Science is 38% women. And even better, women are the majority of students in Chemical Engineering, Civil Environmental Engineering, and Materials Science Engineering. Women in engineering are well supported here. One great mentoring and support organization is MIT SWE. SWE hosts career workshops, networking dinners, graduate school panels, dinners with professors, study breaks, and more an average of two events each week. SWE is also the co-sponsor of the largest career fair on MITs campus, which brings hundreds of companies to recruit MIT students. This isnt to say that there isnt room for improvement at MIT and in the greater world. But were trying to improve things. For example, there are several programs MIT sponsors that try to get high school students interested in majoring in engineering. One such program is the Womens Technology Program. Also, theres the student-organized Womens Initiative. When it comes down to it, the most important thing will be personal experiences. If/when you visit MIT, I encourage you to ask women about their experiences. I think youll find that, for the most part, its not all that different being a woman in engineering here. I had female friends in all of the different engineering majors at MIT (even ones like Nuclear and Ocean Engineering), and as far as I can tell, they were all quite happy with their experiences. In short, Melissa, you dont have to worry about coming to MIT and having all of your female classmates abandoning engineering for the liberal arts. Your engineering friends, for the most part, will stay with you in engineering all the way through graduation day.

Ockham technologies case - Free Essay Example

The case ends as James Triandiflou, the founder of Ockham Technologies, describes the companys early growth in launching an enormous deal with IBM and triumph over financing their business operations because it received financing offers from successful investors and venture capital firms. However, Ockham continues to face operational problems from assembling its human recourses to establishing outsourcing relationships for its on-going success. Rationale for problem selection: James Triandiflous faced problems with assembling his executive team. Though Ockham Technologies assembled its founding team, numerous problems arose: (1) there was â€Å"friction† between co-founders Triandiflou and Meisenheimer as they shared different prospective on companys control issue leading one to make decisions without the involvement of the other (p 12). (2) Building the companys board of directors was also a challenge. Triandiflou had issues with having two members from one venture firm because he wanted to keep his board small. If Ockham does not bring together the right people, it may risk falling apart and thus jeopardizing the growth of the company. Ockhams founding team was inexperienced. Triandiflou was aware that he needed broad range of skills. On the other hand, his team was lacking experience in the industry. The case mentions, that he was looking to find â€Å"the best athletes by hiring the â€Å"best people.† (p. 4). When it came down to developing their actual product, his team did not have the knowledge, so they relied on outsourcing their software development to Ron Hardin from Flex Solutions. They were extremely lucky to land the $100K IBM deal considering their software prototype presentation with IBM was not well prepared (pp. 6-7). Judging on their PowerPoint slides from Exhibit 5, not much thought was put into their presentations (p. 18). One point to note is that working with a big company like IBM can also pose high risks. If Ockham fails to perform according to IBMs expectation, rumors will spread, and customers would lose confidence. Therefore, Ockham may never win another deal again. Trouble deciding to outsource their system development work. Ockhams dilemma was deciding either to outsource their product development or operating in-house. First of all, the team was not satisfied with the quality and progress of their progress with Flex Solutions (pg. 6). Their insecurities led Ockham to reconsider their equity deal with Flex Solutions, which they had previously discussed. Ockham decided to pay cash for their work instead of having a stake in Ockham Technologies (p. 7). Secondly, Triandiflou lacked operational skills for a software startup if he decides to hire its own developers. Ockhams realized that the deadline to deliver the product was tight. If Ockham does not decide quickly, it can risk losing their biggest customer. Action Plan: Enhance communication and establish boundaries to reduce employee conflicts. Conflicts in the workplace arise as a result of numerous factors. In the case, tension between the co-founders was due to values and goal differences in the company (p. 12). Jim Triandiflou and Mike Meisenheimer need to establish healthy boundaries and open communication in company involvement for smoother operations of their business. â€Å"Divide and conquer† as mentioned in the cast, is an effective strategy. When resources are limited (such as this case), it is essential to ensure duties are segregated. This way, restrictions are created, and no one person would have complete control over a process, and all would be partially involved. This might help alleviate some control issues that currently exist with the company. Ockham Technologies should obtain financing from Noro-Moseley. While comparing the alternative financiers, Noro-Moseley is best suited for Ockham for two reasons: (i) they are the biggest and well-known venture capital firm in Atlanta, and (ii) two of its general partners have direct work experience in sale force management and information technology. Although Triandiflou will be giving up some control by having two board members from one venture firm (2 out of 5 or 40% as opposed to 2 out of 3 or 67% control), Ockham will benefit from having experienced members who can provide valuable resources and expertise to the company. Seeking advice from an inexperienced board member such as Bobby Crews would be less valuable to Ockhams operations and growth. Ockham Technologies should outsource their product development to NIIT, company based in India. The companys criteria in outsourcing are: (i) meet aggressive deadlines (ii) reuse 80% if the product for future customers (iii) meet specifications and quality standards and (iv) forge a productive relationship and (v) keep the costs low (pp. 8-9). The company most suited is NIIT because the company specializes in software development. Ockham would be equally price sensitive between NIIT and Thoughtmill because of equal fixed cost. However, NIITs formalized development process and strong credentials seems to be the best fit to satisfy Ockhams quality constraints. Outsourcing to Hotshot Coders seems sketchy because the lack of information provided in the cast. Their physical location is not mentioned in the case, and their fixed costs seem overly optimistic. Ockham will need to conduct further research if they decide to use Hotshot Coders. Ockham should evaluate is employee performance and operational processes on a regular basis. As the company enters the growth phase, the skills required for success evolves. A few examples of these additional skills would be hiring an accounting firm to manage their performance financially, or an advertising agency to market their product. Ockham Technologies can also use various pricing structures to broaden its product line. In either case, the overall objective for executives must be able to manage their company in a way to create value that gives a positive return to their investors, and grow their businesses.
